Seder Night

STEEL

A child's crayon drawing of a Seder table — deep blue room on one side, warm orange on the other, candle lit, matzah and greens on the table — cover artwork for Seder Night

“SEDER NIGHT”
1-OF-1 COVER ARTWORK

This is a child's drawing of the Seder table. One side of the room is deep blue — the old night, the weight of history, the distant voice. The other side is warm orange — the present light, the candle still burning, the living question. A simple table sits in the middle with matzah, greens, a glass of wine, and an empty chair. The lines are imperfect. The colors are uneven. Nothing is polished. It looks like it was made by small hands that do not yet understand how heavy the questions are — only that the table is still set, the candle is still lit, and someone is still asking. That is the entire song.

// THE CONCEPT

From unreleased album: Grief Without Anger. The table where the past is required to sit with the present. The child's voice starts far away (the weight of history) and ends close (the living question still being asked). Tradition still breathing through a living child who does not yet understand how heavy the questions are. The past and the present sit at the same table. A child's voice begins distant and ancient, then returns clear and alive. Soft wine-glass and matzah textures, a low drone, long pauses. The living question is still being asked. Sparse. Human. Grief without anger.
